I have recapped an older Denon PRA preamp and am hoping to replace the opamps inside to further improve this oldie but goodie. In the phono circuit some real oldies, uPCC’s, u is micro I cannot find any info.
Anyone have any info. GibsonianJan 28, Several sources make it. I use it as a drop in replacement all the time for the That’s about THE most common op-amp configuration. Personally, I prefer Texas Instrument’s Excaliber series. GibsonianJan 29, Let me know your results, I may want to experiment with the LM as well.
NJMDD / JRCDD Original Japan, DIP8 – Retroamplis
Any of the plastic bodied DIP’s in this group will work? How about spec sheet on the C, know of where it can be found? I would like to compare. Thanks for your help guys.
No – the is a dual op-amp. Mystic PixelJan 31, National Semiconductors LME49xxx line of op-amps have very impressive xatasheet, but I haven’t tried them out yet The National LM is a great chip. That is my opinion of course, you may want to compare a few to get the sound you like. More clarity, just as much bass but tighter. The bar continues to raise, which is good for the ears.

GibsonianFeb 3, I just upgraded 4585dd Entech dac to the LM and put some film bypass caps on the supply rails I’m not too surprised by your findings. I was reading the specs on both chips. The LM does better through out the Freq range. But does much much better from about 1kHz up for Distortion, noise, separation Its sounds datqsheet clean, clear and detailed in mid range up. I was surprised at the difference at first, until I read the specs, then it all made sense Thanks for posting this The other two, NJM are close relatives of the NE, one is used for tone control and is bypassed when these controls are not used.
The other is in the output stage but I am not altogether certain it does much more than DC and LF duty In any cese, if there is one to be replaced, this is the one look for it between the two blue bands that drive the tape loop and record out selectors. You must log in or sign up to reply here.
