Truth (Consequences, #2) by Aleatha Romig
Because the second time you make it, it is not a mistake, it is a choice — Unknown. Normally I tear through a book a day but with TruthI was so fucking anxious I constantly had to just put it down and rommig away for a bit. Seriously, I mentioned in my Consequences review how I had to ronig the skills of My Guy to help make things happy again, well, it seemed like I was jumping his truyh every 30 minutes while reading Truth.
I needed a distraction. I needed to avoid what I considered was inevitable. This book about vendettas and vengeance just about did me in. Romig aleathw a beautiful job of painting a picture that terrifies and delights. Or do you just not care? He trained her so well I was afraid she was lost forever. Good thing Romig has some crazy ass skills that kept us all afloat. I can not forget or brush over those facts.
I do however, appreciate how Tony tackles shit head on — he plows over whatever or whomever is in his way. He just needs to learn to handle those he loves with a little aletha care. Claire is not just resilient and strong, she is also exceptionally clever. She plays the game of survival to aletaha, questions everything and handles twists and turns with ease.
Ok, cryptic spoiler-ish comment over. Any book that can illicit the range of emotions that Truth did with me is an absolute winner in my book. The intrigue, and suspense are blood pressure raising. The love Tony feels for Claire is gut wrenching, truly it is, the poor man is ill-equipped alearha deal with love.
I hope to whatever higher being there is that I never have any of the experiences Claire has but damn, god damn — this is a mighty fine book.
I jumped immediately into Truth following Consequences. Seriously, how brilliantly conniving is Tony to have planned and executed that perfect set up?
Truth by Aleatha Romig : Scandalicious
The man is a force to be reckoned with but when he is undermined and Claire gains her freedom without his involvement or knowledge it was all Hell Yeah up in my house! I loved watching Claire regain her emotional and mental strength by rebuilding her life, re-establishing her connections to family hruth friends and setting out to exact her revenge on Tony. Surprise, surprise, it appears Mr.
Rawlings is not finished with Ms. Nichols and he forces his way back in with rimig usual domineering and threatening charm. Tony declares numerous times that he is a man of his word? Well maybe he should be more careful whom he gives his word to. My advice, avoid morally corrupt grandfathers and murdering psychopaths!
Just sayin… As for Claire, she fights the good fight romkg but I guess the heart wants what the heart wants. Because the second time you make it, it is not a mistake, it is a choice. Aleatha Romig does not only deliver on this brilliant follow up to Consequencesshe knocks it out of the freaking park! I would say there was no way to improve upon Consequencesbut somehow Truth surpasses that!
I will admit that somehow Ms. Romig, I am depending on you to convince me otherwise in Convicted. I will be eagerly awaiting Tony to unleash all his devious, malevolent, evilness for his ultimate revenge!
The saga continues people and Aleatha Romig has done it again. She wastes no time and took no liberties in developing the new Claire. She embraces a lot of the liberties that were denied to her by Tony in Consequences.
She literally hits the ground running. As our fearful timid Claire takes a note or two or three from the master and makes Tony commend her on her new found confidence and smarts. Roming weaves her masterful threads and takes you on an outstanding euphoric high through Truth, with an insight to several secondary characters that have bigger secrets than Tony.
Hard to imagine romib you better believe it. Euphoric highs are great and all but I did find that I was more stressed and jittery with the reveals and seriously had to take breaks. This is again, a great testament to the writing of Mz Romig. But I will be prepared for the coming of Convicted. Tell me about a hobby or something you are really good at that people would find surprising. I love to cook and bake!
No store bought pie crust for me! Consequences and Truth are not easy books to read, as you know, the storyline is rough romug, would you mind sharing how you got into the headspace to write that What were you thinking?!!? What was I thinking? I believe I was thinking mystery, thriller, much like the crime TV shows I watch. Thanks for stopping by the blog. We are all anxiously awaiting Convicted. Thank you for having me!!! That condo dream trutg you mention…ooh boy that made me so mad!
I am telling my head hurts so much, in a good way from this book. I definitely need some fluff to get over this book hangover. I actually stopped where I was in the book later, when it came up again, to go back and re-read that part.
I will go and look for it Hope!

I really want to aelatha Tony and i think he will get there, in my opinion but I just felt that first book was packaged a lot nicer. Tony bad… Claire good. I actually agree with everything you said, Ladies!! But I still love Tony because, in the end, he was aleatga. I also want to add that I really liked how this book ended. And the first book as well.
It has taken me months aleatba come to that conclusion. There is not doubt these are excellent reads Hope. I knew right away from reading the first chapter of Consequences.
The hairs on my neck stood up! I think these books are excellently written and the pacing makes my heart race…the endings were trufh awesome, even if they broke my soul a bit. There is not one thing—nothing—that makes up for that in my mind. I read both books yesterday after I read your review of Consequences…I am not ready to talk about it…I just have to process it all for a little while longer…. That takes courage and talent. Scandal Girl…you are so right on the dream sequence…ALL Very doubtful on the consent front to me…just another underhanded trick for my money!
